Everyday Math:
We use the Everyday Math Curriculum at PPS. It is a research-based, spiraling curriculum, meaning students with be exposed to skills multiple times throughout the year. We will explore measurement, numbers, basic addition and subtraction facts, surveys, and graphs. We will explore these topics (and more!) through games, technology, and hands-on learning.
Daily Five:
In our classroom, we use the Daily Five Literacy Program. It is a framework for structuring literacy time so students develop strong literacy habits using the five habits listed below. Everyday we will practice...
1. Read to self
2. Read to someone
3. Work on Writing
4. Word Work
5. Listening to reading
Working independently, in whole group, and in small group settings, we will work towards personalized goals and fostering independence. Click on the link below for more information.
