Prior to teaching Kindergarten, I was a paraeducator at Union Memorial School for two years, and a long term substitute for most of last year. I love working in Colchester, it is such a beautiful place and a wonderful community! I am from the small town of Falmouth that is on Cape Cod, MA. My parents still live there, so I feel very lucky to visit, especially during the summer months! How did I end up here you might ask, for teaching of course! I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2014, then made a quick year long move to Boston, MA where I became a substitute teacher and knew right away that I wanted to go back to school for teaching. One quick visit to Saint Michael's College and I was in love with this beautiful state and all it has to offer. In May of 2017 I completed my Elementary Education license and continue to take graduate course towards my master's degree in Curriculum.
I live in South Burlington currently with my fiance, Dan and our black lab Dawkins. In my free time I love to go to the beach, work on my garden, read, and paddle board. I love summer, I would say it is one of my favorite seasons! I have one brother who lives in New York City and a sister who will beginning graduate school in Boston this fall. I am looking forward to this year and meeting you and your families!
